What is XYZMobo?
XYZMobo is a software application that allows you to find nearby
local information such as business listings directly
from your cell phone. Our goal is to deliver relevant local
information in the simplest way possible to your cell phone, truly anywhere and anytime.
How much does it cost to obtain XYZMobo?
XYZMobo is completely free for personal and non-commerial use. You simply download the application
to your cell phone or mobile device. However, a data charge may be applied
by your wireless operator.
How much wireless data does XYZMobo use when looking up
information?
XYZMobo uses on average less than 1KB per look up request. 1KB
is the smallest unit commonly used to measure data traffic.
How does XYZMobo know about
my current position?
XYZMobo knows your current position by applying a process called
geocoding. When you enter
your current location, 'geocoding' translates it into a GPS like
position of latitude and longitude.
Where does the local information come from?
This data comes from several sources:
1)Local businesses register and add themselves to the XYZMobo listings. Businesses can do this directly from their
cell phone or from a computer.
2)XYZMobo spiders the web to find local information.
3)XYZMobo works with content owners such as foodpages and New York Restaurant Guide
to bring you the most up to date information.

How do I know XYZMobo works on my cell phone, or mobile device?
XYZMobo is developed with the Java programming technology.
90-95% of cell phones shipped worldwide are Java compatible. Chances are that yours
is one of them. If you are not sure, it is best to check
your manufacturer's website for your model information. Or contact
us, and we will find out for you.
How do I know if XYZMobo works with my wireless operator?
XYZMobo is wireless operator independent and does not depend on
any specific carrier feature. If you are not sure, you can download
our very small test software from the download page to verify the status before downloading the full program.Ok, enough
of goodies, how do I get it? Go to the download page and follow the instructions provided.
What is ClickNShare?
ClickNShare is a feature of XYZMobo that allows you to share the
information you see on your cell phone with your friends by simply
entering her cell phone number. The information will then be
sent immediately via text message to your friend's cell phone.
What is ClickNCall?
ClickNCall is a feature of XYZMobo that connects you directly with the local business with just one click.
What is valid location information?
A valid location could be one of the following: "200 Pearl St, NEW YORK, NY", or "117th St E & Park Ave, New York, NY", or "10035" or "M5R1T7". In the future, we plan to support landmarks such
as "Time Square, NYC",
I do not know my exact current location, what do I do?
If you do not know your location, you can enter the nearest
intersection, such as "King and Bay st, Toronto, On", or lat/longt information from your GPS device
I own a local business, but I don't see it on XYZMobo?
If you don't see your business, simply use the "add your
biz" button from the XYZMobo result screen using your cell phone and submit
your business information. Or, submit online
I am a content owner, such as a popular website, with lots
of useful local relevant information, how can I get it into the
hands of the XYZMobo users?
